Memorials & Headstones
Hand-carved headstones and memorials, and the careful restoration of older ones.
We design and carve memorials in natural stone, cut and lettered by hand in the workshop. We will sit down with you to choose the stone, the shape and the wording, and show you the lettering before anything is cut.
We work to the regulations of the churchyard, cemetery or burial ground, and handle the permissions and fixing on your behalf. For existing memorials we offer cleaning, resetting of stones that have leaned or sunk, and re-cutting of inscriptions that have weathered away.
This is unhurried work, and we treat it as such.

Do you handle the churchyard permissions?
Yes. We work to the regulations for the specific churchyard or cemetery and arrange the necessary permissions and fixing for you.
Can you add an inscription to an existing headstone?
In most cases, yes. We match the existing lettering style and cut the new inscription by hand, on site or in the workshop.
